When it comes to dream weddings, Jeanne and Andrew’s unique and unforgettable safari wedding was an extraordinary celebration of their love.

Best friends for years before embarking on their journey of love and then having to postpone their safari wedding for 3 years to say “I do” in Africa,  meant that this wedding was never going to be just an ordinary destination wedding celebration for this beautiful couple from the USA.

A wedding ceremony in the wild

When Jeanne told me she wanted to get married in the plains of Africa, we took her wish to heart. We scoured the private Marakele private nature reserve for the most majestic view of the Waterberg mountains. They said their vows amidst the awe-inspiring landscapes of the African wilderness, surrounded by majestic wildlife and their closest friends and family.

Their intimate, outdoor wedding ceremony was officiated by a very dear friend and the moment was even more poignant with the sharing of their personal vows they had written for each other.

The juxtaposition of the ultra-luxurious florals surrounding them on the open grass plains created a wild yet incredibly romantic setting to pledge their love for each other and their commitment to raising their gorgeous daughters together.

An unexpected pre-reception drinks and canapés stop on the plains of Africa

After watching the exchange of vows under an ancient acacia tree with the majestic Waterberg Mountains in the background, their guests were taken on an unexpected game drive stopping alongside the river to watch the sunset over the vast savannah plains of Marataba private game reserve whilst enjoying curated cocktails and canapés.

A lavish wedding reception under the African skies

After the pre-drinks reception, everyone was driven on a scenic game drive back to the main lodge for a lavish reception under the star-studded sky.

Carefully Crafted Dining Experience

Guests were treated to a carefully crafted five-course menu paired with the finest selection of hand-picked wines and after dinner revelled the night away to the pulsing rhythm of Africa.
