Luxury Swedish destination incentive to Cape Town
A 4-day ultra-luxurious experiential corporate incentive for the Lagerling group.
Lagerling’s is a luxury villa rental company based in Sweden. Every year the Lagerling team have an annual incentive trip to a new country and in September 2019 they chose South Africa and specifically Cape Town.
The 4-day itinerary Boutique Events designed for the Lagering group included accommodation in a luxury villa in Clifton on the renowned Nettleton Drive, one of Cape Town’s most prestigious addresses and stunning boutique hotel accommodation at The Pod Hotel in Camps Bay with majestic views of the beach. The villa included a dedicated butler service and in-house chef.
A carefully curated Cape Town destination experience
The curated experiential itinerary which Boutique Events designed included two South African themed dinners. A sea-food extravaganza prepared on the braai by The Field Kitchen one of our favourite Cape Town based catering companies and a sumptuous gala dinner by Slippery Spoon Kitchen – a catering company well known throughout South Africa for their delicious food and absolutely magnificent presentation.
Unfortunately the first day’s sea-food extravaganza had to be postponed due to the flight from Sweden being delayed by almost 6 hours so with some quick thinking we arranged a fabulous sushi feast from Willoughby & Co and our welcome Marimba band was ready with a hearty South African welcome when the group finally arrived just in time to enjoy a spectacular Clifton sunset!
We arranged dinner at Luke Dale Roberts, famous Cape Town restaurant, The Potluck Club for the first nights welcome dinner which was a huge success.
Boutique Events also booked a surprise helicopter trip to Franschhoek for the team the next day which was a huge hit and totally unexpected! The team had lunch at La Petite Colombe one of Franschhoek’s top restaurants.
We arranged daily sight-seeing activities which included food foraging and lunch at Nicky Gibbs, Crofter’s Kitchen, a cable car ride up the iconic Table Mountain, sunset drinks at Cape Point Vineyards and private wine tasting at a few of Franschhoek’s boutique wine estates.

- Luxury VIP airport meet and greet with express pass through customs
- Luxury chauffeur-driven transport for the duration of their trip
- A welcome booklet highlighting each day’s itinerary and dress code (without giving too much away as each day’s activities were a surprise)

- A carefully crafted Gin bar each night with different South African gins for pre-dinner sunset cocktails and a selection of the best wines and MCC’s South Africa has to offer
- All bespoke menus were specifically created for the Lagerling group and a sommelier paired wines with every course
