Classic Black & White Birthday Decor Details
We substituted all the host’s indoor furniture with classic and timeless antique black and white Chanel-themed furniture. White cushions with black brocade created a vintage French look, and black and gold accents created a chic aesthetic. By contrast, the all-black welcome cocktail reception on the extensive glass-fronted patio offered sweeping views of the majestic Southern Suburbs mountain range at sunset. Gentle ambient lighting and candlelight lit the room after dusk, creating a warm and inviting setting to celebrate a significant milestone birthday!

Striking white and gold birthday floral arrangements
Antique matt gold vases were used to finish the effect with expertly styled lilies and roses of various shades of white and cream, together with gold leaves and black & white ribbon for detailing. The fragrant perfume of lilies and roses was intoxicating on arrival.

Gorgeous2Go headed by expert make-up artist and stylist, Renee de Wit did the hair and make-up of the host and close friends and family for the special celebration ensuring that the ladies looked beyond exceptional for the evening’s festivities in their glittering gowns.

Guests were welcomed with a French 75 cocktail, and The Field Kitchen provided a spectacular bespoke French canapé menu.

The evening’s highlight was the incredibly touching and thoughtful speeches delivered by Mel’s husband, sister, and children!
During canapés, friends and family were treated to a live music performance by the talented Gerry Liberty followed by energetic dance tunes played by the brilliant DJ Shaun West!
Much fun was had in the iCandy photo booth, where guests captured images of their lighter sides with fun take-home mementoes of an evening celebrating the beautiful, kind and elegant Mel’s 40th milestone birthday.
