Intimate and Elegant Surprise 70th Birthday Celebration
What an honour it was to plan this surprise destination 70th birthday celebration for an extraordinary gentleman and his family from Amsterdam and Johannesburg.
With a brief to find a private venue and create a magical ambience, I knew Table Seven would be the perfect venue for this exclusive milestone birthday celebration. Nestled in Woodstock in an up-and-coming area of Cape Town’s CBD suburbs, Table Seven is an ideal venue for small and intimate exclusive events.
The striking black and gold monochromatic birthday celebration was specially planned and kept a surprise as it was also the first time this multi-generational family were able to see each other since the global lockdowns.
The elegant table decor was offset by an abundance of candles and strikingly gorgeous white table flowers artfully arranged in various unique vases and finished off with black and gold menus printed on the finest gloss art paper.
Black and gold are timelessly classic colours and the perfect sophisticated palette for a luxurious celebration as the opulent rich hues of gold lend a natural elegance to a beautifully set table.
The 5-course bespoke dinner menu was crafted to perfection by chef extraordinaire and owner of Table Seven, Luke Wannacot and his team of maestros.
The decadent marbled white, gold and black dark chocolate birthday cake, (Vincent’s favourite) was a special surprise from his granddaughter, Amo.
Boutique Events’ passion is all about creating bespoke, intimate and memorable celebrations and the look of surprise and delight when Amo’s grandfather and family arrived was priceless.
Meeting this kind and wonderful family was an absolute delight and an evening I will never forget. It was an exceptional evening filled with heartfelt speeches, tears of love and joy, dancing and laughter – precisely the celebration that makes me glad to be in the events industry!
