Nothing can replace the look of delight and wonder on Chantal’s face when she walked into the stately lounge of the well-appointed private manor house and saw her family sitting in full black-tie regalia awaiting her arrival! A mixture of sheer delight and absolute surprise, happy laughter and applause filled the room!

Chantal’s chic and sophisticated weekend birthday celebration was hosted at the exquisitely appointed Farm Lorraine in Franschhoek.
The beautifully-dressed guests began the evening’s festivities with an elegant Champagne welcome reception on the manor house’s patio, which boasted a majestic backdrop of the Franschoek mountains and olive orchards.

Elegant birthday dinner at the world-famous Grande Provence Wine Estate
The celebration then moved to the world-renowned Grande Provence, a privately owned ultra-luxurious five-star estate on sprawling hectares of ancient vineyards and fruit orchards.
Dinner at Jonkershuis is an intimate and exclusive dining room alongside the Grande Provence’s main restaurant.
Decorated in neutral tones of creams and dark wood with an oversized chandelier, this setting was the perfect blank canvas to create a beautifully styled birthday celebration.

The rich hues of golds and creams, opulent deep reds, and sunset oranges of the floral arrangements permeated the air with the gentle scent of garden roses and orchids, Chantal’s favourite flowers!
Executive chef Darren Badenhorst created a bespoke four-course a la carte dinner exquisitely plated on designer crockery and paired it with delectable wines from Grande Provence’s own vineyards.

Dessert was a dark chocolate ganache birthday cake, an on-trend black and white drip cake with fresh dark floral accents and gold drip icing.
