Troy & Holly’s Modern, Mountain-Framed Wedding at Brookdale Wine Estate
There’s a particular kind of magic in the Cape Winelands Cape Winelands—that hush of late-afternoon light, the geometry of vineyard rows, and those dramatic mountains that make every moment feel cinematic. Troy & Holly’s wedding at Brookdale Wine Estate captured that magic effortlessly: classic romance on the Manor House lawn, sunlit cocktails at the Pool House, and a reception in the Bistro that was completely transformed into a modern, candlelit dream.
From the first sketch of their stationery to the last slice of cake, every detail was designed to feel intentional, elevated, and deeply personal.

Brookdale Estate
A Winelands Estate With Timeless Presence
Brookdale’s beauty is the kind that doesn’t need embellishment: crisp white gables, heritage architecture, and sweeping vineyard views that stretch toward the mountains. It has an old-world steadiness to it—an estate that feels rooted—yet it lends itself beautifully to modern styling.
For Troy & Holly, this setting created the perfect balance: elegant and traditional at its core, with clean, contemporary touches layered in to reflect their taste.

Elegant Wedding Details
The Most Personal Detail: Stationery Made With Family Love
Before guests even arrived, the tone was set with something extraordinarily meaningful: the wedding stationery was drawn by Holly’s mother and hand-made by Holly’s sister.
The result was an heirloom in paper form—artful, tactile, and full of heart. The suite leaned into a refined, nature-led palette with soft neutrals and deep greens, finished with thoughtful details that felt more like keepsakes than correspondence: illustrated elements, layered cards, and beautifully considered finishing touches.
It was the first “welcome” of the day—quietly luxurious, unmistakably personal, and a reminder that the most memorable weddings always carry the couple’s story in the small things.
Wedding Ceremony on the Manor House Lawn
Holly arrived with a timeless elegance—sleek silhouettes, classic lines, and a veil that caught the light as it moved across the lawn. The ceremony unfolded on the Manor House lawn, framed by the estate’s signature architecture and the vast Winelands landscape beyond.
The floral styling was intentionally modern and restrained: clouds of white blooms arranged low and abundant, creating a soft, romantic border that guided the eye toward the couple without competing with the view. The overall feeling was clean, curated, and serene—an atmosphere that invited guests to be fully present for the vows.
And then, that moment: Troy & Holly together against the mountains, the lawn filled with guests, the light warm and golden—one of those scenes you don’t forget.

An exquisite setting for a wedding ceremony
Canapés & Cocktails at the Pool House
After the ceremony, guests drifted toward the Pool House for canapés and cocktails—an effortless transition that kept the energy light and celebratory.
This part of the day is where great weddings breathe. Conversations flow, laughter rises, glasses clink, and the couple gets to feel the joy of the moment without rushing. The Pool House setting delivered exactly that: relaxed luxury with polished service, set against open skies and vineyard views.

Bridal Party
A Wedding Reception Transformation: Orchids, Moss & Draping in the Bistro
The Bistro reception was where the design truly revealed itself.
Troy & Holly wanted something modern, immersive, and intimate—romance without fuss, drama without heaviness. We achieved this by transforming the restaurant space with layered draping, creating softness overhead and a sense of warmth and enclosure that completely shifted the atmosphere.
On the tables, the styling stayed sculptural and contemporary:
- Orchids for their elegant lines and quiet luxury
- Moss textures to bring depth and an organic edge
- Candlelight and glass to reflect warmth and movement through the space
The effect was striking: modern styling that still felt timeless—clean white florals, earthy greens, and a glow that made the entire room feel like an evening scene from a film. The draping softened the architecture, the orchids elevated the tablescape, and the moss grounded the design so it never felt overly “perfect”—just beautifully lived-in.
Guests stepped in and immediately felt it: this wasn’t just a dinner venue. It was a transformed world for one night only.

The Sweet Finish: Celebration in Every Detail
As the evening unfolded—speeches, clinking glasses, the quiet moments between dances—the wedding continued to balance the grand with the personal. From the artistry of the stationery to the warm intimacy of the candlelit Bistro, Troy & Holly’s day was a reminder that luxury isn’t about excess.
Luxury is craft, intention, and care.
And when the cake was finally cut—beautiful, classic, and celebratory—it felt like the perfect closing note: joyful, generous, and shared.
